AVALEX GRAIN is a sunflower seed crusher in the Odesa region of Ukraine. We buy seed from Ukrainian growers, crush it in Ukraine and supply sunflower oil to DSTU 4492:2017 and sunflower meal to contract specification. Oil ships in bulk by flexitank container and road tanker.

Crude and refined sunflower oil, plus sunflower meal from the crush. Each parcel is quoted against named quality parameters. There is no public price list.
Refined Sunflower Oil
Refined, bleached, deodorized and winterized (RBDW). Bottling and food-manufacturing grade. Supplied in bulk.

How the seed is processed
Seed comes in from Ukrainian growers. Pressing and filtering take place in the Odesa region, and each lot of oil and meal has its own documents.

Intake and assay
Seed from Ukrainian farms and elevators is weighed on arrival and checked for moisture, oil content and impurities before it is accepted.

Cleaning and pressing
The seed is cleaned and conditioned, then mechanically pressed. Crude oil is separated from the cake.

Settling and storage
Crude oil is settled and filtered, then stored in tank lot by lot.

Loading
Oil goes into flexitanks and food-grade road tankers. Meal and cake are loaded in bulk.

Quality control
Sunflower oil is supplied to DSTU 4492:2017 and sunflower meal to the contract specification. Every lot is assayed, and you can nominate an independent surveyor to inspect at loading. Third-party certification is in preparation. Certificates will be listed here, with their numbers, when they are issued.
